Update: Kathy Griffin's acceptance speech

After reading this post, I've rethought my view of the Kathy Griffin acceptance speech. I think the post is a much more charitable and mine lacked graciousness. I was outraged that the faith of my brethren was impugned by Griffin but I should have exhibited more of a sense of humor.

I don't think the church should throw it's weight around and drive the networks to do it's bidding. Maybe it would be better if we turned the other cheek. God gave her the freedom to speak her mind about him and it's not up to the church to take her freedom away.
