Is the defeat of the Oregon ballot initiative a harbinger of 2008?

I wouldn't even think to answer this question in the affirmative, who the heck knows what the voters will do in 2008 and I know I'll get it wrong if I try to predict it but I do raise the question at Casting Stones.
