Don Hewitt admits that Dan Rather should have been fired over his "60 Minute" report on George Bush.
"I have a built-in bias against reporters who have axes to grind," Hewitt said. "I think there are reporters that allow their own bias to encroach on their journalism, and that's a crime against journalism."Where was he when all the controversy was going on? This is a year too late. And if they fired all the journalist who had axes to grind, they would have very few left to actually report the news.
