Gas-guzzling RC Hummer Monster Truck

Cool! I wonder what is it's carbon footprint? Maybe they'll start labeling products with their carbon footprint so consumers will know which product promotes the destruction of the planet.

Station Owner Kills Rival in Gas Price Fight

A Marathon station owner shot the owner of the rival BP station in a dispute over a gas price cut. The BP owner went to the Marathon owner to see how he could afford to cut the price as much as he did, the discussion escalated into a fight which ended in the death of the BP owner:

The discussion quickly escalated into a fight with two more people from the BP station brawling with rivals at Marathon. One man was hit with a baseball bat in the melee. And then, police say, the 51-year-old owner of the Marathon station pulled out a gun and shot the owner of the BP, a 45-year-old father of five children.

In a wild post-script, it appears the BP station is taking advantage of the shooting. While police are still swarming the Marathon station, the BP has jacked up its prices. WXYZ's Bill Proctor reports that as soon as the owner's body was taken away, workers at BP changed the price-per-gallon of unleaded from $2.96 to $3.09.

Amazing! The owner is killed and they take it out on the consumer?

Saudi Prince Buying 'Flying Palace' Jet

I see a campaign ad in this: "Why give our money to this sheik to spend buying palaces in the sky, let's drill in the Gulf and ANWR and end the flight of our money out of the USA" (I will be more than happy to sell this ad to you for cheap, email me :-)

In the annals of excess, it could be a new high: a more than $300 million dollar, super-sized luxury airplane, bought and outfitted solely for the private comfort of a Saudi Arabian billionaire.

Once done, the Airbus A380, the world's biggest passenger plane, will be a "flying palace" for Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the manufacturer announced Monday.

Airbus SAS would not give a specific price tag for the VIP double- decker jet, with its football field-length wings, saying only that it would cost more than the aircraft's list price of $320 million.

I can't be the only who gets ticked off seeing this after paying close to $3.00 a gallon this morning.
