The House Republicans pushed me over the edge today. I can't believe they care more about their political ambitions than the safety of our nation. I guess I can believe it, they're politicians after all. The war is bad for the party, so let's end it. Let's allow al-Qaeda to kill millions of Iraqs and take over their nation and their oil supply because we wouldn't want the House Republicans to lose any more seats. They have to bring up their poll numbers and cutting and running seems to do that.
But what do they think their numbers will look like when al-Qaeda claims victory and CNN is filming them dancing in the street and burning our flags and screaming that they'll be coming to America next? What will there numbers look like when we lose more of our troops in Afghanistan to al-Qaeda bombs because they know that makes us run with our tail between our legs.
Americans think they want this but when they see the consequences they will not be too happy with those who engineered our defeat.
