When you're in love with a married worman...

Joe Carter at Evangelical Outpost answers questions sent in by his readers. Here's an example of his advice to a man who is engaged to one woman but in love with a married woman:

Unfortunately, your situation is a bad Jenny Jones episode waiting to happen. Your problem isn't necessarily that you’re totally screwed up (though, that too seems apparent) but that you have the wrong concept of what love is all about. From the way you use terms such as “soul mate” and talk about loving your fiancĂ© but not “feeling in love” it appears that you've either been reading romance novels or watching too many chick flicks. You certainly didn't pick up that lingo by hanging around with Manly Men. Would Clint Eastwood talk about not “feeling” in love? Would John Wayne pine over a “soul mate”?
