A man alleged to have used his HDTV service to provide New York area customers with Hezbollah television broadcasts was arrested yesterday. He's been charged with conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.Javed Iqbal is alleged to have provided customers with satellite broadcasts from the Al Manar television station, which is owned and operated by Hezbollah.
Al Manar...was named a global terrorist entity by the U.S. Department of Treasury earlier this year, thereby making it illegal to engage in business transactions with them.
