The Democrats have won the election

Or so everyone thinks, why else would you have this headline:

Can Pelosi and Bush get along?
They will need each other's help if Dems win House, analysts say
I think that they probably wanted to say "when" not "if." Makes you nuts just thinking about it:
Mocking Rep. Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco is now a standard part of President Bush's campaign pitch.

"The top Democrat leader in the House made an interesting declaration. She said, 'We love tax cuts.' Given her record, she must be a secret admirer,'' Bush told a group of donors last week in Macon, Ga.

"If this is the Democrats' idea of love,'' Bush said to laughter at a Chicago fundraiser a few days later, "I don't want to see what hate looks like.

[...]

"If Democrats are in control of the House, the president will have to listen," Pelosi said. "The only way to deal with him is as a co-equal branch of government."
No, he won't have to listen, he can veto everything that hits his desk if he wants. Just like his dad did.

It makes my skin crawl just thinking about it. You Christians better not fast from this election or this is what we are going to get. I'm tempted to fast from the news until election day. And I will have to avoid a number of blogs because there are some bloggers who actually believe the polls and are in doom and gloom mode. I think it's time for avoidance mode. Look for more music video posting and posts about my Greek and Hebrew tests and other nonelection news.
